Mails clone for the following placeß as under, subject tc the necessary alterations: — "Wednesday, Feb. 24. For Northern Ports, per Rotoniahana, at 4.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m. ; guard's van, 5.30 p.m. train. Thursday, Feb. 25. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, 8 p.m. ; guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. Friday, Feb. 26. •flFor Northern Ports and Australian Colonies (via Wellington), per Mararoa, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Saturday, Feb. 27. For Australian Colonies (vi;l Bluff), Ceylon, India, China, &c, also United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (via Suez), per express to connect wich Mnnapouri, at 10.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, 10.40 a.m.; guard's van, 11 a.m. train. Due in London April 13. Mails leave Sydney for New Guinea on March 1, and for Noumea and Fiji on March 3. Mails for South Africa, per Nineveh, leave Melbourne on March 5. Mails for Fiji, per Eichmond, close at Aiiclcland on March 5, at 4 p.m. Note. — The postage on newspapers for Queensland is now Id for the first four ounces and M for each additional two ounces. Note. — A Money Ordevand Savings Bank Office has been opened at Hornby (railway station). R. Kirton, Chief Postmaster.
