BEST VALUE IN NEW ZEALAND. Cash Tailoring Company, High Street, Triangle. — [Advt.] - Funeral. — Mr E. Goldsmith, who had been janitor of the main school, Timaru, ever since it was established about twenty-two years ago, died last week after a short illness. His funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, and was very largely attended. He was a member of the Oddfellows and of the Orange Society, and the members of both Orders turned out in large numbers, and the Orange Band headed the procession, playing the " Dead March " in Saul. The feature of the procession, however, was the attendance of school children, about three hundred of them marching two and two, accompanied by the teaching staff of the school, the leaders of both sections bearing a large number of wreaths. There was also a large crowd assembled at the cemetery, apart from the followers of the hearse. People are getting more enlightened every day. The old-fashioned style of physicking one's self up with salts, nauseous pills, castor oil, &c, is a thing of the past. Up-to-date folks take up-to-date preparations, such as Wood's Fig Laxative, the Fruit Aperient. It cleanses the system of all impurities, and renews tne vitality of the constitution.
