Personal.— The Eevs Fathers Cuniniings, Lenienant des Cliesnais and Desproident sailed for Wellington by the Corinna yesterday. Professor Brown left for the north by the Te Anau yesterday evening. Wool Freights.— The telegram from Wellington, published yesterday, with respect to reductions in the rates for carriage of wool to London, was incorrect in some particulars. Both Shipping Companies—the New Zealand and the Shaw, Savill and Albion — have decided upon reductions which will leave the rates as follows :— By steamer : Greasy wool, halfpenny per lb ; scoured, five-eighths of a penny per lb ; othqr cargo same as by sailer. By sailing ship: Greasy wool, three-eighths of a penny per lb ; scoured, halfpenny per lb.
