POLITICAL.

[Per Press Association.! NAPIEE, Feb. 22.. With reference to the holding of an early session, the Herald authoritatively states that so far no Minister has approached Captain Eussell on the subject, and the report that he has assented on behalf of the Opposition is inaccurate. Personally Captain Eussell thinks that the Opposition should throw no obstacle in the way of the Premier attending the Queen's record celebrations, provided that he can make such financial arrangements as are essential to proper administration, and that Mr Seddon makes it clear that he wishes to go. This is on the assumption that no more than six months' supply is asked for, and that a session will be held in the spring for ordinary business.
