Canterbury Art Society. — Afc a meeting of the Council of the Canterbury Art Society yesterday afternoon, it "was decided to open the annual exhibition in the Art Gallery on March 17. It was agreed to have a competition in connection with the exhibition, and to offer a silver medal for the best figure study, and bronze medals for landscape and decorative design. It wars decided that the competition should be open to persons under ■ thirtyyears of age.
