BEE WHAT THE NBWSPAPEBS SAY ABOUT G-AWNE'S WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE. j "SOUTHLAND TIMES," Jnno 7, 1889, Bayer- 1 it OOME people insist strongly at times npon everybody else patronising local industries, whether lO> the commodity in view be dearer than the imported artiole or not. It is a patriotic duty, &c., &c. But it may be doubted whether such advisers always follow their o-vn counsel when a shilling may be saved by suppressing their principles. Happ.ly there are many instances in which it is perfectly, safe to give such advice, even on the score of economy. A case in point occurs to us. Mi Gawne, of Dnnedin, has for some time past been manufaoturing an excellent sauce intended to supply the place of tb famous ' Worcester *of Lea and Perrins. Mr Gawne's product goes under the same name, and ia got upin precisely the same style, and in every reßpect it is so like the original that it may be doubted whether the most delicate palate and the most experienced eye could detect a difference. The Sauce has now been introduced to this market, andas it is only about half the price of the Enghsh make, it shonld undoubtedly command a large sale." FBOM ALL STOBEKEEPEBS.
