MACFAnLANr.— On Oct. 30, 1896, at his residence, Polwarth Gardens, Edinburgh, John Macfarlane, the dearly loved father of Mrs W. Bundle, Lyttelton, in his eighty-eighth year. Mason.— Dec. 30, Ethel, second daughter of Thomas Benjamin and Elizabeth -Mason, of Newmau, N.i. (late of Opawa) ; in her sixth year. Toovev.— Jan. 4, 1896, at the Star and Garter Hotel, John Toovey, late of the Zetland Arms, Occidental, Caledouion, S« wyers* Arms and White Horse Hotels; in the sixty-first year of his age.
