The New Brighton Gala. — The 1 committee which has ia hand the management of the gala to be held at .New Brighton on Thursday has made very complete arrangements for the entertainment of visitors. The programme of sports will include flat, hurdle, bicycle, children's and donkey races, for which over one hundred and thirty entries have been received. A merry-go-round has been • provided, and there will be sports aud amusements for the children.' The shore end of the pier will be fitted up as a gi-and stand from which to view the races. Special trams will be rah 6n both lines.
