FPer Press Association.! TIMARU, Jan. 2. The weather again "was fine for the Caledonian sports, and there was a large attendance. The 100 yds Race was won by Niall, the 220 yds by Finnic and the 250 yds by Smart. Leslie won the Two-mile Walk from scratch in the splendid time of 15min, I7£sec. Shorland won the Five-mile Bicycle Scratch Race, Casbolt the Threemile Handicap and D. Dorm the Two-mile, C. Hall the One-mile and W. Hall the Half-mile. The sports were a great success and no accidents marred the gathering, which was the most successful for the last six years. 0 AMARU, Jan. 2. The games were well-attended to-day, the takings for the two days beingabotit.£lß betterthan they were last year. The followingare the results of the principal events: — 75yds Handicap— T. M'Grail 1, A. Miller 2, H. Rayn 3. 440 yds Hurdle Race— A. Paterson 1, D. Gilchrist 2, W. Johnston 3. Mile Handicap— D. Gilchrist 1. W. M'Kab 2, J. Day 3. Mile Walk— T. Leslie. Four others were disqualified. Mile Bicycle Race— J. Rapson 1, A. Wilkie 2, J. Mullay 3. Two-mile Bicycle Race— J. Chalmers 1, J. Rapson 2, J. Lawrence 3. Five-mile Bicycle Race — J. Lawrence 1, J. Rapson 2, G. Lethaby 3. The following are the winners of the medals : — Running, R. Herron; bagpipe music and dancing, R. Thomson; hammei*, balls and cabei", 0. D, : Fleming ; cycling, J. Rapson. DUNBDIN, Jan. 2. The Caledonian sports were even better attended to-day than they were yesterday, the weather being fine. The Light-weight Wrestling 1 was won by M. Powlay, with G.W. Johnstone second and A. Dickson third. The All-comers' Grand Wrestling competition, three styles, is not concluded. In the Dunedin Handicap Houston, 30yds, won the 220 yds distance ; Curtin, 16yds, 2. M. Craig, 25yds, won the 440 yds distance, with O'Driscoll, 28yds, 2. Time— sl-^sec. In the President's Handicap Bicycle Race Maxwell, 30yds, won the second distance, thi;ee miles ; Bell ser, 2. The third distance of five miles was won by N. Ralston, 335 yds -, R. M'Kenzie, 75yds, 2. In the aggregate Bell and Ralston had six points each, but the prize was awarded to Bell for consistent riding. A. Findlay, 80yds, won the Milk Walk. J. Burk, 68yds, won the Two-mile Run, E. Walters, 120 yds, 2. Time— 9inin 55s'ec. In the cycling events, Arndt, 45yds, won the Half-mile in linin 9isec ; J. Symes, 105 yds, the Thxee-raile, in Oinin 7-Asec ; T. Ma-sv, 85yds, the Mile, in 2min' 2l4sec. Minn, 110 yds, won the Two-mile .Second Class in. smin 7sec. In vaulting with the pole, R. Esplin cleared 10ft 3in. In wiestling the standards in the Cornish style are Skinner, Scott and Uru. The last-uamed- two had several bouts, and have a fall each, but the conclusion will have to bo taken on^ Monday. .
