[Per Press Association.] MELBOURNE, Jan. 3. At thd Bicycle Clvib meeting the principal events resulted : — International Scratch Mile — Balph 1, Walne 2, M'Donnell 3. Time — 2min 20isec. 'Brassey Stakes — Po'rta 1, Martin 2, Carpenter 3. A splendid finish. Won by a few inches.". Time — 4min 40£ see. The match for .£250 a side between Lewis and Martin for next Saturday was declared off owing 1 to a serious accident which befel Lewis in training last week.
