SYDNEY TATTERSALL'S CLUB.
SYDNEY, Jan. 1. The annual race meeting of Tattersall's Club commenced to-day, favoured by fine weather. The Carrington Stakes was won by Recaution, Vivian being second, and Survivor third. Twenty-four started. Betting : 3 to 1 each against Vivian and Survivor, 16 to 1 Recaution. The lastnamed led almost from the jump, and never being headed won by two lengths, cutting out tho distance in the record time of lmin 13-.seo.
