The English wheat market is firm with an xipward tendency. The Continental is firm, and the American is showing a general advance. . Californian No. 1 milling 35s 6d; Russian cargoes 32s 3d. No. 1 hard Duluth 35s 9d. Svgar — German, steady, 9s l.d. Java, lis 7-id. The Bradford wool market is quiet. The butter market is firm with fair business and unchanged prices. The shipment ex Maori King is in good condition, but some of this week's shipments are of a slightly fishy flavour.
