Concert to Mb Wells. — The public are reminded that The Messiah is to be given on Wednesday next, in the Opera House, by the combined Musical Associations of Christchurch as a compliment to Mr Wells previous* to his visit to England. There will be a chorus of 250 voices and the full orchestra will be led by Mr Wallace, Mr Wells conducting the oratorio. The solos have been divided amongst they leading vocalists of Christchurch, and it is hoped that the public will give evidence of their appreciation of Mr Wells by attending in large numbers and giving him a good send off. The box plan is open at Milner and Thompson's, and holders of day tickets will have the prior right of entry at a quarter past seven.
