SUDDEN DEATH.
An .man .named Edmund Becketfc, sixty-eight years of age, died suddenly at his. .residence, Creek Eoad, Linwood, at 11.40. a.m. on. Saturday. He had been working . in his garden, and went inside to wash himself, intending to go to Christchurch, when he complained of a pain in his heart, and expired in a few minutes. INQUEST. An inquest was held on Sunday morning, before Mr E. Beetham, S.M., concerning, the. .. death of Edmund Beckett (68), labourer, of Creek Eoad, Linwood. From the evidence.! it. transpired that the deceased, who. .had been digging in his garden, came into his house at -11.30 a.m. complaining of a pain at his heart. Ten minutes afterwards he died. Dr De Eenzi, who made the post mortem examination, deposed that the chest of deceased was full, of blood.. The jury returned a verdict of aneurism of the aorta. The deceased leaves a wife* '..five s.ons and two daughters, in Christchurch.
