A meeting of the New Zealand Polo Association was held yesterday afternoon at the office of Mr A. E. G. Rhodes, Hereford Street ; present— Mr G. Gould (Manawatu, in the chair), Messrs C. H. Lascelles (Auckland), B. Lane (Christchurch), E. M. Turrell (Wharerangi), H. V. Styche (Warrengate), M. Davie (Poverty Bay). The balance-sheet for the past season showed -.—Total receipts .£lO7 ss, including a sum of .£45 9s 7d brought forward. Total amount of assets over liabilities .£55 16s Id. The balance-sheet was adopted as read. The colours adopted by the Wanganui Polo Club, viz., wiiite shirt, brown and cream sash and cap, were approved. Letters from the Wanganui Poverty Bay, Wellington and Auckland Polo Clubs were read, having reference to suggested amendments in the rules for the Savile and Junior Cup competitions. It was resolved that the rules, as printed, should be adhered to for all competitions during the present season. On the motion of Mr B. Lane, seconded by Mr E. M. Turrell, Mr P. E. Baldwin, of Wellington, was elected secretary and treasurer of the New Zealand Polo Club for the year 1896-97. , The Sheep Trade. — The s.s.
