The Times Odessa correspondent telegraphs that it is expected that tea growing in Russia will prove a powerful rival in the European markets. The committee of the Frozen Meat Association is discussing the scheme propounded by Mr Weddell for cold-sorting sheds. The Dock Company expresses willingness to erect these, and .the charge would be about one penny per carcase. The underwriters are favoxirable to the proposal, which it is believed would materially reduce the damage to meat, and facilitate the assessment of damage.
