The New Zealand Shipping Company's E.M.S.S. Tongariro, which left port yesterday for London, via Monte Video, did some excellent work during her short stay at Lyttelton. She arrived in port on Sunday afternoon, and commenced taking in cargo at midnight on Sunday. She completed her loading at noon yesterday, having loaded some 3000 hales wool and leather, besides over 3000 carcases mutton, 30 tons cheese, 850 boxes butter and 200 casks tallow and pelts. Besides this list she received some 350 tons of coal into her bunkers, which must be regarded as exceptionally good work.
