THEEE MEN MISSING. :A DETECTIVE'S ADVENTURE. [Pe_ Pbess Association. J SYDNEY, Nov. 30. The Glenbrook mystery is deepening. 'A third man named Leslie is now reported to be missing. The Government has offered a reward, of .£IOO for a clue. The police are scouring the mountains in an endeavour to find the remains of the missing men. During the search of a disused shaft Detective M'Lean had/a thrilling experience. Two men lowered Mm, and when he encountered a large snake at the bottom they were unable to haul him up, and the detective passed a bad five minutes before extra help was secured, 4nd he was hauled safely to the top. • ' Preston is the name of the second missing man. He was a student of mineralogy at Sydney University. Portions of his clothing have been found at Linden, and the police theory is "that Wilier was made away, with at Glenbrook, and Preston at Linden. The country •round about is very wild. A man named Harwood, or Butler, is "wanted" in connection with the affair. A similar advertisement was inserted in the Newcastle papers, but the replies were never called for.
