Diocesan Chokal Festival.— At the Choral Association's festival, the Cathedral organist accompanied the Psalms, anthems and canticles, to the latter of which he, failing the composer's score, played a very fine setting of his own. Too much praise cannot bo given to Miss Ross for her excellent playing of the hymns. The "high tea," although supplied by Mr Buggey, was the gift of the Ladies' Committee. W. Strange and Co. are now showing enormous stocks of carpets, floorcloths and linoleums, and invite inspection. Other jewellers can copy S.
