A CONTEMPLATED LOAN.
BRISBANE, Nov. 28. Tlio Premier has announced the intention of the Government to raise a loan of ,£2,324,000 to. meet appropriations for £kblic works. The stock wiil bear interest at 3i per cent. There is no hurry for' the money, except the possibility of anything going wrong by reason of a v. European war, or somo such contingency. The Treasury is in an exceedingly healthy i! statue, "" and does not expect to place more I'than1 'than a million and a half of the loan in 1 London, the rest being raised locally. < *
