Chrysanthemum Society. — A meeting of the Christchurch Chrysanthemum Society was held last night at the residence of the President, Dr Irving, who occupied the chair. There was a good attendance. The President announced that members of the Society would be admitted to the Eose Show on Dec. 9, on .producing their members' tickets. Mr Lowo read a paper on "Cutting Back," and an interesting discussion followed. The Premier,— The Hon E. J. Seddon will arrive from the south this evening, and wiil give an address at Lyttelton, leaving afterwards for Wellington. The chair will be taken at 9 p.m., and ladies only Avill be admitted to tho hall between 8.30 and 8.45 p.m., after which the doors will be thrown open to the general
