CHRISTCHURCH CLUB.

A committee meeting of the Christchurch Club was held on Wednesday, when the programme for the club's annual sports was drawn up.. It includes a 50yds Inter-Club Handicap, Eoyal Mail Eace, polo match, exhibition of diving" and a ladies' race. The club's life-saving class will give an interesting exhibition of rescuing and resuscitating an apparently drowned person. Eighteen new members were elected. Messrs Watson, Brabner and Smart were elected delegates to the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association. Tlie preliminary heats of the club's 100 yds Handicap were decided at the bath yesterday, and resulted as follow: — First heat, Patterson; second heat, Stratton; third heat, Macpherson. The final will be swum next Thursday.
