Come," then, anl form a compact band 1 Come forth and s'ao'w your might ! • Freedom and Justice is your aim, And Liberty your right. Come, show to wealth nnd inter sf-, " That keeps you 'neath its chains, That you no longer will be bound And sweated for its grain. Man is but man ! the rich, ihp poor, Are self-same flesh nnd blood, Who, when the earthly lacs is o'er, Are equal 'neath the Rod. You share the sane bright, g' owing sun, You breathe nn air as ch'nr, Your love of home is ju^t a» stronjr, Your children just us rKir ! And yet you bow nnd bpnr the pain. "Why not be true and bnive. And fight for freedom, co j'ou sink A victim for the grave ? You, men, a nations power have made With hard and honest toil ; You get a paltry dole of gold, "While money holds the soil ! You work that others may be rich ; You starve while others feast; You do not even have the care Bestowed upon the beast. You, women, with your cheery -words, Have helped your sons to bear The burdens and the trials of life, Th« trouble and the care 1 You must rise up in one accord, And let your children see That God to all mankind is good, And all mankind is free.
