LOAN AND MERCANTILE AGENCY COMPANY.
[Per Press Association.] LONDON, Nov. 26. The annual report of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company shows that the earnings for the year were £195,193, and the debit balance £34,063. There had, it shows, been losses on stock and bad debts. The new business had provided profits, but it would be neceseary to provide largely beyond the indication of last year before the book-value of assets reached the approximate real value. It mentioned that the call had produced .£574,553, and that the revenue from produce was increasing.
