A VICAR'S MAJORITY.
» [Fer Press Association.] TIMARU, Nov. 26. Archdeacon Harper was last night presented by his congregation with a purse of sovereigns, at a meeting held to congratulate him on his completion of twenty-one years as vicar of the parish of Timaru. When ho came to Timaru there was no church property. Now there is a church that cost ,£9500, and school and p.irsouage .£2OOO, with only .£IOOO owing on them.
