The attendance at the Eangiora market yesterday was fully up to the average. The live stock entry comprised 1800 sheep, 170 cattle and 190 pigs, which sold at the following prices : — Good butchers' wethers 11s to 12s, do ewes 8s to 9s 6d, hoggets, good sorts 9s to 9s 6d, medium do 7s to Bs, small 6s to 6s 6d, cross-bred ewes and lambs (all counted) 4s to 6s j beef 18s per 1001 b, springers £4 to .£6, two-year-olds £2 10s to £3 10s, yearlings 25s to 355, eighteen-month-old cattle £2 5s to £2 7s 6d, twenty-month do £2 15s to £3 2s 6d j pigs, baconers 36s to 42s 6d, porkers 20s to 255, good stores 16s to 18s, small do 10s to 12s, weaners 6s to 9s, sows in pig 30s to 355. In the produce department the prices were : — Cross-bred sheepskins 4s 6d to 6s, merinoes 3s 6d to 5s 9d, lighter skins Is 9d to 3s 6d, pelts 2d to 6d, wool 6d to 7d per lb, do bellies 3£d to s£d, locks and pieces 2d to 4^d, fowls Is 9d to 3s 6d per pair, ducks 3s 6d, geese ss, chickwheat 2s 9d to 3s 6d per bushel, milling 3s lid to 4s, peas 3s 6d, beans 2s Bd, crushed do 2s lOd, oats Is lOd to 2s 2d, crushed do 2s 3d, barley 2s 6d to 2r 9d, grass seed (farmers' lines) 2s 3d to 2s 6d, machine-dressed 3s to 3s 6d, cocksfoot 2d to 4d per lb, cowgrass 4d to 6d, tares ss, potatoes 65b to 75s per ton, bran 60s per ton, sharps 90s, flour 24s per sack (guaranteed quality), stone do 20s, cheese 4£d per lb.
