Mails close for' the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : — : Tuesday, Oct. 6. For Northern Ports, per Flora, at 7.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, 8 p.m. ; guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. Wednesday, Oct. 7. For Australian Colonies, vid Bluff, per express, to connect with Wakatipu, at 10.30 a.m.; late fee letters, 10.40 a.m.; guard's van, 11 a.m. train. Friday, Oct. 9. For Northern Ports, Australian colonies (via Wellington), India, China, &c, also TJnited Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Suez, per Hauroto, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Due in London Nov. 24. Mails for Raratonga and Tahiti close at Auckland, per Corinna, on Oct. 7, at 4 p.m. Mails for Fiji, per TJpolu, close at Auckland on Oct. 9, at 4 p.m. R. kiivroN, Chief Postmaster.
