Monday, Sept. 14. (Before Mr S. H. Willis, J.P., and Mr J. G. Fyfe, J.P.) Alleged Breaking and Entering. — Frederick T. Jones, a youth aged sixteen years, was charged with entering the residence of William Hollis, and stealing therefrom a silver pencil case, valued at 7s. Mr.»Nalder appeared for accused. Sergeant Eutledge called William Hollia who deposed that the pencil case produced was in a workbox in his bedroom, and he missed it on August 20. ' Constable Moore deposed to finding tho pencil caso on accused, who said he got it fromi Hollis's house. Sergeant Eutledge applied .for a remand, which was granted, to Sept. 16, on the understanding that a further remand of seven days would be granted. Larceny op Flowers. — The same accused and William Seymour, another lad, were charged with stealing hyacinths from the garden of George Eutherford. Both pleaded guilty. A list of previous convictions against Jones was handed in. There was nothing previously- known against Seymour. Jones was sent to gaol for fourteen days, and Seymour was fined 10s.
