Canterbury Bowling Club. — The adIjourned annual meeting of the Canterbury BowHng Club was held last night at the ; Empire Hotel. There was a good atteni dance, and Mr T. Skelton, president of the club, occupied the chair. The balancesheet showed that, the receipts for the year had been «£l72*lßs 3d, and the expenditure .£l7l, leaving a balance of £1 18s 3d. :On the motion of the President, seconded by Mr E. C. Ashby, the balance-sheet was ■adopted. .Mr, Barlow moved—" That the date of opening the green be' left in the ; hands of the Committee to fix." Mr jßeverley seconded the motion, which was : carried. Seven gentlemen were nominated as members. It was decided to hold a meeting of the Committee at the green at 4 p.m. on "Wednesday.
