ST ALBANS CLUB.

Tlie annual meeting of the St A loans Cricket Club was held on Friday evening last. There was a good attendance of members, and Mr J. N. Dv Feu presided. The balance-sheet and report were presented, the former showing a balance in hand of ,£2 18s. The report regretted that the record of the first eleven had not been so good as for the former season, but congratulated the second eleven on having won the President's Cup. The trophies won during the season were presented to Mr C. W. Colville for the highest batting average in the first eleven, and to Messrs Chapman and Williams for the best play in the second eleven. The election of officers resulted as follows : — President, Mr A. E. G. Rhodes j vice-presidents, Messrs G. G. Stead, P. Waymouth, K. H. Rhodes, J. Speight, G. Dickenson, H. Forwood and Rev H. "Williams ; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr H. Chapman; committee, Messrs J. R. Allsop, T. Ansley, J. D. Colville, J. N. Dv Feu and C. R. Williams ; selection committee, Mr J. R. Allsop and the captains of the first and second elevens; delegate to the Junior Cricket Committee, Mr C. R. Williams. The question of accepting the invitation of a Wellington junior club to play a match there in December was discussed and left in the hands of the committee to report. It was decided to commence practice games on the ground next Saturday, and to open the season on Oct. 3.
