The suitability of Queensland timber for railway work attracted the attention of the Natal Government some time ago, and the Colonial Secretary of that colony communicated with the Chief Secretary in reference to a supply of sleepers for the Natal railways. On the strength of the information supplied he now states that the Natal Railway Department will be glad to receive" offers of ten thousand sleepers, delivered at Durban, within the next two years.
