THE LOAN AND MERCANTILE COMPANY.
rPuB Press Association.'!
MELBOURNE, August 26,
The financial jeditor of the Argus in an article makes reference to certain negotiations passing between the shareholders of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company and the "B " deben-ture-holders, which may possibly lead to misconception. The repl facts are that the "B " debenture-holders have been approached, and certain modifications suggested, but the matter is purely one of a bargain between. ,the two interestedparties, the shareholders on the one side and the "B"- holders on the other. The Company's business in the colonies, the Argus says, cannot in any way be affected by the progress or result of these negotiations.
