[Per Press Association.] PEETOEIA, June 2. Special prayers have been offered up in the Transvaal churches for the recovery of President Kruger's wife, who is seriously ill. A movement is on foot in the Eahd to collect sufficient funds to add a wing to the Johannesburg hospital to mark the gratitude of the residents at the clemency extended to the reformers. CAPETOWN, June 3. President Kruger wishes to commute the sentences passed on the leaders for a heavy fine, but the executive fears that this would be regarded as proceeding from mere mercenary motives, and prefers that tlie five years' sentences Bhould stand.
