ATTEMPT TO WRECK A TRAIN. [Per Press Association.! MELBOURNE, Mat 18. An attempt was made to wreck the night mail train to Sydney, neav Broad Meadows. Several heavy pieces of timber wore placed in the vicinity of the points, with the intention of throwing the engine off, but it miraculously managed to keep on the right track. The passengers, of whom there were three hundred on board, experienced a severe jolting.
