THE LYTTELTON BURGLARY CASES.
THE ACCUSED REMANDED. At the Christchurch Police Court to-day, before Mr H. J. Hall, J.P., and Mr E Green,. J.P., Edward Robert M'Evoy wa& charged with having, on May 14, at Lyttelton, broken into, the shop, of J. W. Smith and Co., and stolen therefrom articles to the value of £G 8s 7d -and 2s 6d in njoney, the property of Amelia Smith ; also, with having, at Lyttelton, on tho same date, broken into the shop of Rhind 'and Wagstaff, and stolen therefrom ' the sum of lis.
Chief Detective Henderson applied to have the accused remanded to appear at Lyttelton on Wednesday next. Accused offered no objection, and the remand was granted.
