— ». [Pee Press Association.] DUNEDIN, April 6/ At the Prohibition Convention on Saturday night Mr A. C. Begg introduced the ! question of a winter campaign. He held i it to be the duty of the Temperance party • to do alj. that it could to educate the ' people, for that was the foundation of all > Temperance work. After af> discussion it 1 was resolved— " That during the winter ! months vigorous efforts be made to thor--1 oughly work every district by means of . public ineeting3 in every sehoolhotise and " hall throughout the country, and that the ! Executive be instructed, while not neglecting other districts, to devote special 1 attention to districts in which at present there is no definite Temperance organisation ; that the circulation of leaflets and other appropriate literature be carried on, so far as the funds permit." . Sunday services were held in the Garrison Hall yesterday, and addresses were delivered by ' Mrs Schinackenberg, President of the Women's Christian Temperance Union of the Colony, Miss M'Guinness of Sydenham Miss Kirk of Wellington and others.
