ORDER OF FORESTERS.
Court Star of Canterbury met on Mon day evening, the C.E., Bro J. Y. Beatty, in the chair. There was a good attendance, including several visiting brothers. The Woodwards reported twelve members on the sick fund. P.C.E. Hunter, delegate to the Friendly Societies' Associatibn, , reported that it was intended to hold a meeting of the various societies at the Opera House on the second Sunday . in May, when suitable addresses would be delivered. One candidate was admitted into the Order and one member joined by clearance. A memorandum was read from the District Secretary, stating that the next district meeting will be held at Ashburton on April 9, and giving an outline of the business to be transacted. P.D.C.E., Bro Gilberd, of Court 5502, Napier district, waa accorded a hearty welcome, and spoke on several matters of interest. It was decided to hold the summoned meeting on Tuesday, April 7, Monday being a public holiday. The correspondence was considered and the sick pay passed. The meeting then closed.
