THE ADELAIDE CARNIVAL. [Special to Pbess Association.] ADELAIDE, Feb. 29. Toms, a cyclist, lowered the Australian two miles record, covering the distance in 4min 15£ sec. At the cycling carnival there, was beautiful weather and 10,000 people were present. Results : — Mile Championship of Australia — Megson 1, Parsons 2, Kirk 3. Megson came with a splendid spurt at .the finish and won by two lengths. Time— 2min 34sec. Five-mile International Scratch Race— parsons 1, Porter 2, K|rk 3. The Italian led most of the way, but in the last' round Parsons made a tremendous dash and just beat t\\vn. Time— lzmin llsec. Wheel Race— Lunn 1, Wotherspoon 2, Granter 3. . Won easily. Time — 4min 28sec. ParsonSj paced by a triplet, undertook to -lower Zimmerman's half-mile record of 68sec and covered the distance in 54sec. "
