CHRIST'S COLLEGE SPORTS.
The annual awimming sports in connection with Christ's College took place yesterday, at Corsair Bay, Lyttelton. About one hundred and fifty pupils of the school ■were present. The following are the results : — 6oyds Handicap, under thirteen— C. Klingenstein 15sec, 1 ; B. Malet lOsec, 2. A close -finish,; Elingenstein won bytwo yards. ' 30yds Handicap, open to lower school — E. P. Gill scr, 1 ; 0. Denham 7sec, 2. Won easily. 200 yds School Champion--Bhi|>—M. E. Lindsay 1, G. Studholme 2, H, Holderness 3. Won<easily by twenty yards ; an exciting contest for second place. 100 yds Handicap, under fifteen — P. Elworthy acr ■and H. Steele 25seo (dead -heat) ; D. Fox fiseo, 3. 100 yds Back Handicap, open — A. IK. Cotterill 25sec, 1 ; W. Fantham. 20sec, 2 ; M. Ormsby 15sec, 3. 200 yds Handicap, open — W. Fantham 4O3ec, 1 ; G. Pascoe ?oeec, 2; M. E. Lindsay, scr, 3. A close -finish. M. E.-Tiindsay, -who started from scratch, swam very well. i
