The Rev Jeffries has been elected president of the Wesleyan Conference. SYDNEY, Feb. 28. The Wesleyan Conference came to an important decision in rejrard to finance. It was resolved that in future all circuit grants should be prospective. The Circuit and Sustenance ' Society Efficiencies and Special Help "Funds are to be capitalised, and the amount will be covered by a special loan from the Bequest Fund. The object is to remove debt. Many circuits are so burdened as to prevent future accumulation, and the new scheme will throw upon each minister the responsibility of his own term of incumbency in the circuit. _______« ___
