[Per Pbess Association.] PALMERSTON NORTH, Feb. 27. For the second day of the Manawatu Racing Club's Autumn Ueeting there was. "fine weather, and the. attendance was fair. The sum of .£3307 was passed through the 'totalisatox, making a total of .£7365 for the meeting. Inquiries were held into the running of Rangipai yesterday and of Glenelg to-day. Rangipai, the trainer (J. Retter), and the jockey (A." Hall) were disqualified for six months. R. Ross, rider of Glenelg, •was disqualified 'for' '.a similar period. At a meeting of stewards of the Wellington Trotting Club the " ringing-in " case which -occurred at the club's recent meeting was further considered, when the Secretary stated -fche result of inquiries he had made in the. affair in Christchurch. The stewards decided to disqualify the mare Florence ,(late Victorina) 'for five years, and her nominator and rider (W. H. Marsh) «nd trainer (James Wright) for life.
