FIRES.

[Per Pkess Association. ! ;~ : PAHIATUA, Feb. 28. 1 A fire occurred this morning. The Argus newspaper office was totally destroyed; nothing was saved. The building was owned by Mr T. C. Williams, and was insured for .£l2O in the Liverpool and London and Globe office. The plant was insured for .£l5O, but in what office is not known. An adjoining building, owned by Mr Gilbey, o£ Wanganui, and occupied by Mr Black, printer, was also destroyed. The insurance is .£IOO on the building and -.£7O :on the plant, in the New Zealand office. ' WELLINGTON, Feb. 28. The premises of H. J. Rodgers, draper, Manners Street, were badly damaged this i morning by afire which broke out in the upper story of the building.
