Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : — Saturday, Feb. 29. For Dunedin and Australian colonies, and also for United Kingdom and Europe (via Brindisi), India, China, Japan, &c, per Tasmania (to connect with Wakatipu), at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Due London, April 14. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Manapouri, at 6.25 p.m. ; late tee letters, 6.40 p.m. ; guard's van, 7.45 p.m. train. For Cheviot and Kaikoura, per Wakatu, at 6.25 p.m. ; late fee letters, 6.40 p.m. ; guard's van, 7.45 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m. ; guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. . Mails for Norfolk Island and New Hebrides, close at Sydney, March 5. I Mails for Tonga, Samoa and Fiji, per I Ovalau, close at Auckland, March 11, at 4 p.m. J On Monday, March 2, a Money Order and Savings Bank Office will be opened at the Post Office, Sefton. The following letter boxes are cleared daily in time for mails by south express : — Box: Corner Cashel Street and Oxford Terrace, Cashel Street (Taylor's), High Street (Biggs's), corner Cashel and Manchester Streets, corner High and Lichfield Streets, Manchester Street (Suckling's), Manchester Street (Coker's), corner Manchester Street and South Belt, corner Colombo and Tuam Streets, Linwood P.O. and Sydenham P. 0.; at all other letter boxes the first clearance alone connects.
