The Volunteebs.— The Christ's College . Rifles will parade for outpost duty on Saturday, at 6 a.m., falling in at Armagh Street bridge. Ball, — A ball was given to Admiral Bridge and the officers of the naval squadron at the Christchurch Club last night. A temporary ballroom of wood, 75ft in length and 28ft wide, Tvas erected on the east side of the Club and effectively decorated. Supper was laid in the diningroom of the Club, and the smoking-room and library- were used as drawing-rooms. • About two lmndred and fifty guests were present, and dancing was kept up till a late hour to the music of Mr 11.
