PUPIL TEACHERS.

The question of increasing the pay of pupil and ex-pupil-teachers was referred to at a meeting of the Wellington Education Board yesterday by the Chairman, who said that, considering the condition of the Board's funds, and also considering that the pupil-teachers under the Board were more liberally dealt -with than those by any other Education Board,he failed to see how the Board could grant any sum beyond ,£42 for girls and ,£SO for males per year. He moved that these amounts should not be increased upon any consideration whatever, and this was. agreed to.
