'..■'■ [StE'ciAL TO _?BESB ASSOCIATION.] ' .',,..'■ LONDON, Feb. 24; One ofthe officers who have reached England declares that Sir Jacobus De "Wet's message, ordering Dr Jameson to stop his march, arrived during the fight, and Dr Jameson • immediately hoisted- a flag of truce. ? LONDON, Feb. 25. It is now reported that the Vollcssteinq denies its former statement that the Government cabled to Dr Jameson to advance in the' name of the Reformers. Dr Jameson will probably appear at Bow Street. The troopers declare that the inhabitants of the Rand formed proti- j sion depots along the route to be taken by Dr Jameson's expedition, on the pretence that ihese preparations were for a" mail service. PRETORIA, Feb. 24: The Volhstein, the organ of the Transvaal Government, declarers that the Government cabled to Dr Jameson to advance in the name of the Reformers. This forged telegram reached the doctor the same day as the Uitlanders' letter; [Note.— This message is given as received, but what Government is referred to is not clear.] ' ■ ; PRETORIA, Feb. 25. Labourers are being engaged from .the Congo to work in the urinea at the Transvaal. -
