Fire Brigades' Demonstration.— Entries for the competitions at the annual demonstration of the United Fire Brigades Association are already coming in freely, and will be received until Saturday evening next. It has been discovered that the programme, in two of its important features, competitions with horsed engines and bicycle events, follows the lines laid down in the programme issued by the London Fire Brigade for the great contest to take place in the Agricultural Hall in July next. This is a gratifying proof that the framers of the colonial programme are " up-to-date " in their ideas.
