m [Pee Press Association.} WELLINGTON, Feb. 25. The Secretary of the New Zealand 1 Amateur Rowing Association is issuing a circular to the affiliated clubs and others 1 interested, suggesting that steps should be taken to raise the amount required to send a New Zealand crew to take part in the race for the four-oared amateur championship of Australasia, and a representative 1 to contest tho sculling championship, both of which, events will be . rowed on the Parramatta River at Sydney early in May. It is estimated that about .£IOO will be required to coyer tho expenses of the crew and coxswain, the sculling competitor and the delegate to the rowing conference, which is to be held about the time , of the races. A meeting of rowing men and others is to be held here shortly to take steps for the collection of Wellington's share of the money. The final arrangements for. the trip will be made at the meeting of delegates to the Association at Picton during Easter. ■ -. . _ ,-
