Opening.: Attack only fair; -band not, nicely 'together,/ bars; 4 and 8: faulty, better articulation required generally, band out of tune from bar 20. • Marcato :< Want of precision. Con fuoco : Trumpeting riot clean.and more breadth required; on bass solo, cadenza fair. , Andante: Accompaniment a little uneasy, basses not together, euphonium going fairly well,, rallentando overdone, from Agitato band steadier, but not nicely in tune and trombone overblown, cadenza slightly stiff. .Tempo : I Fair, basses faulty at bar 25, intonation poor with rest of band, pause not left together in cadenza bar v trombone fair, but plays last quaver a semi-quaver, very nice from E. Allegro : Want of precision and more body of • tone, grades of tone require more attention, top of band want smartening up from bar 27, euphonium overblowing from bar 30, finishes movement ,very smartly, cadenza very nice tone. , Moderato : Not precise, accompaniment too | short, cornet fair, cadenza slightly hurried, !Bhot notes not together, tempo going fairly well. Animato: Want of tongue, ; soprano fair, crescendo not gradually worked up, articulation muddy in last 3 bars, cadenza fair. Andante : Not nicely in tune, and dotted quavers played as quavers, some uneasiness felt from bar 4, crotchets in bar 20 too short, euphonium i forced in bar 25, : crotchet -in cadenza bar | not nicely left, baritone and f euphonium badly in r tune, euphonium' misses C. Allegro: Want of precision an«l body of tone, ff crotchets not precise from bar 20, general want of tongue from bar 33, winding up a little wild. | Points . - 70. i
