SWIMMING.

A meeting of the committee of the Clmstohurch Amateur Swimming Club was held on Tuesday night, -Mr Smart in the chair; The programme for the annual races, to be held on March 7, was drawn up, and the. various officials were appointed. Messrs England, Fox and Smart were appointed a. sub-committee to draw up the programme and make final arrangements. It was decided to hold the usual longdistance race (quarter-mile), at a time and place to be fixed by the sub-committee. Votes of thanks were passed to the New South Wales Association and clubs affiliated thereto, for the kindness extended to the club representatives whilst in Sydney. At a meeting of the committee of the Sydenham Swimming Club, held on Tuesday evening, the annual sports were fixed for March 21 and a preliminary programme was drawn- up. Donations were received with thanks from Mr W. Jacques and Mr W. Mann, and several accounts were passed for payment. At a meeting of the Lancaster Park Amateur Swimming Club, held on Friday, it was decided to hold the annual sports on Saturday, March 14. These sports will be the first that have been held in the bath since its completion last year. Four now members were elected. A meeting of the committee of the Eailway Amateur Swimming Club was held last evening, when arrangements were made to hold the club's Foiu* Lengths Handicap Eace on Wednesday next.
